Transparent costs • You control spend • No usage markups

BYOK: Bring Your Own OpenAI API key.

Koshsi uses a BYOK "Bring Your Own Key" model. That means predictions run using your own OpenAI API key, so OpenAI bills your usage directly. Your Koshsi subscription pays for the premium MatchUp workflow, the interface, and ongoing improvements — not for tokens.

Important: never share your API key publicly. If you think it’s exposed, revoke it in OpenAI immediately.

How BYOK works

Two payments, two roles: OpenAI for usage, Koshsi for the MatchUp framework and experience.

1) You create an API key

Your OpenAI API key authorizes predictions to run under your account.

2) Koshsi runs MatchUp analysis

We guide the AI through structured factor deltas and explainable probability output.

3) OpenAI bills usage directly

You see costs and usage inside OpenAI — no hidden fees or markups.

4) Your subscription pays for the product

Koshsi charges for the workflow, UI, and continuous improvement — not for tokens.

What this means in plain English

BYOK keeps costs honest. If you run more predictions, you’ll see more usage in OpenAI — and you can set limits there. Koshsi stays focused on product quality: MatchUp analysis, clarity, and premium experience.

BYOK benefits

Why this model is safer and more transparent.

  • You control spend — usage limits live in OpenAI
  • No “unlimited” tricks — no hidden usage markups
  • Clear value split — framework vs usage
  • Cancel-friendly — revoke key or remove it anytime

Setup steps

Fast setup. If you get stuck, we can help you onboard manually.

API key guide →
  1. Create/Open your OpenAI account
    Required

If you already have an OpenAI account, move to step 2.

  2. Create an API key
    ~1 min

Create a new key in OpenAI and name it something like “Koshsi Football Predictor”.

  3. Paste the key into the predictor
    Once

Open the Football Predictor and paste your key into the API key field.

    Example format only: sk-******************************
Do not share your real key in emails or public messages.

Best practice: use a personal device, and avoid saving keys on shared/public computers.

  4. Run a test prediction
    Recommended

Choose a match and run one prediction to confirm everything is working.

Security & privacy

Simple, practical guidance for handling your API key safely.

Treat your key like a password

Don’t post it, don’t email it, don’t paste it into public chats. If exposed, revoke it in OpenAI.

You control usage limits

Because OpenAI bills your account directly, you can cap usage and monitor spend in OpenAI.

Remove or rotate anytime

You can replace your key if you rotate keys. Revoking a key immediately stops its use.

BYOK avoids “usage incentives”

Koshsi isn’t incentivized to inflate usage. We focus on analysis quality and product experience.

For the safest setup, use Koshsi on a personal device and avoid shared/public machines.
